Our Story

Passion For The Purple

The Passion for the Purple Livestock Show started as an opportunity to give exhibitors in our local area the chance to show animals in an environment that is different than a county fair and has grown to be so much more.

We encourage youth to participate in agriculture, scholarship opportunities, and their community, be it locally or where they are from. “People that do this, it’s their travel baseball, only with livestock” said Wilson, one of the show founders. “We wanted our local exhibitors know they had the same opportunities as other places to show their project at a different level.”

Exhibitors compete for class placing, division and over all species honors and have the opportunity to show off their skills as showman and compete for cash, banners, and other prizes.
